Finished Size: One size (8″ x 12″)

Yarn: 1 oz. worsted 100% cotton yarn in light green (A)

Yarn Tool: easyloop® yarn tool

Easyloop® Yarn Tool Tension: With easyloop® yarn tool, PULL NEEDLE BACK 1 inch and PUSH NEEDLE INTO LOOP 1 inch.

Gauge: 11 sts and 10 rows =  4 inches (gauge isn’t critical).

Stitches Used: Chain Stitch; Slip Stitch; For the FAUXCHÉT® SLIP STITCH (push tool through BACK LOOP ONLY) turning work at the end of each row.

Note: The Fauxchét® Slip Stitch looks the same on both sides, there is no right or wrong side.

To Begin: With the easyloop® tool threaded with yarn A, create a slip knot (1 inch in size) 6 inches from yarn end.

Foundation Chain: Using yarn color A, chain 30 plus 1 turning stitch. Turn work.

Rows 1-26: Slip stitch across each row, making 1 turning stitch at the end of each row before turning work. Be sure to make row 26 extra loose. At the end of row 25, end work by fastening off with 1 extra chain stitch into the last stitch.

Finishing: Cut yarn and pull end to tighten. Weave loose yarn ends in to conceal them (using the easyloop® fauxchét® tool to weave the ends in is fast and convenient). ♦

Stitches Used: Chain Stitch; Slip Stitch; Ridged Single Fauxchét® Stitch. The Ridged Single Fauxchét® Stitch is a variation of the Single Fauxchét® Stitch, but for this stitch you insert the tool into the BACK LOOP ONLY of each stitch, turning work at the end of each row.

Note: The Ridged Single Fauxchét® Stitch looks the same on both sides, there is no right or wrong side.
