Chain Necklace

To Begin: With the easyloop® tool threaded with a double strand of yarn A create a slip knot (1 inch in size) 6 inches from yarn end.

Chain Stitch: Using a double strand of yarn color A, chain 200 plus 1 extra stitch (or make a chain 70 inches in length).

Finishing: Cut yarn and pull end to tighten.

Assembly: Thread the 5 brass beads on to your finished chain. Rethread the chain back through the 5 beads 4 more times, each time pulling the chain to shorten it and adjust. Note: Use the easyloop® yarn tool to thread and re-thread the chain through the beads.

The necklace will become 5 strands thick and be a finished length of approximately 12 inches. When you have the necklace adjusted properly, tie the ends of the chain with a double knot. Slide a bead over the knot (to conceal the knot). Adjust the beads accordingly to be evenly spaced on the chain. ♦

The chain necklace is made with the easyloop® fauxchét® yarn tool. The basic stitches and techniques can be learned in The Art of Fauxchét® E-Book. A link to download the E-BOOK, our how-to videos, and a written instruction booklet to get you started (with easy scarf patterns) are included with the easyloop® fauxchét® yarn tool.
