IMG_8574ASwiffer® Sweeper Sheet (Green)

To Begin: With the easyloop® tool threaded with Yarn A, create a slip knot (1 inch in size) 6 inches from yarn end.

Foundation Chain: Chain 22 stitches plus 1 turning stitch. Turn work.

Row 1: Slip Stitch into every stitch of foundation chain across row, making 1 turning stitch at the end of row. Turn work, so yarn tool is on the left and work is on the right (or vice versa for left-handers).

Rows 2-24: Slip Stitch into every stitch across each rows, making 1 turning stitch at the end of each row. Turn work at the end of each row.

At the end of row 24, end work by fastening off with 1 extra chain stitch into the last stitch. Cut yarn leaving a 6 inch tail. Unthread the easyloop® tool by pulling cut yarn end backward out of the tool needles. Pull yarn end to tighten the last stitch.

Single Fauxchét® Edging: Rethread the easyloop® tool with Yarn A. BEGIN EDGING at the same corner your project started, by securing the threaded tool to the corner of the fabric with a Slip Stitch. Tie the two yarn ends together to secure.

Create the Single Fauxchét® Edge stitch around all 4 sides of the rectangle, creating an extra stitch at the corners to prevent puckering.

When the Single Fauxchét® Edging is completed around all 4 sides, end work by fastening off with 1 extra chain stitch into the last stitch. Cut yarn leaving a 6 inch tail. Unthread the easyloop® tool by pulling cut yarn end backward out of the tool needles. Pull yarn end to tighten the last stitch.

Finishing: Weave loose yarn ends in using the easyloop® yarn tool and the “weaving ends in” technique. ♦

Application: The sweeper sheet can be attached to the Swiffer® Sweeper by pushing into the grip holes on the Swiffer® Sweeper in place of the disposable sweeper sheets. The sweeper sheet is reusable and washable and a great way to go green.
